Beginning Monday, October 9, a section of the Green Line of the Swamp Rabbit Trail will be closed from Icehouse Lane to Verdae Boulevard. The purpose of the closure is to allow the construction of a retaining wall needed for the Legacy Park connection to the trail. Due to the safety hazard created by heavy equipment, this will be a full closure and will be in effect until October 20. Trail users should avoid this area entirely, so they do not reach a dead end at the work zone. When complete, a spur trail from the Green Line will provide a connection to Legacy Park.
